The Proclaimers' "500 Miles (I'm Gonna Be)" on 12" is hugely dynamic and alive. It's admittedly a bit bright, but it is SO good in that single format.
Don’t have the ability to post links but I love the 12” of Giorgio Moroder’s Chase, which is 13 minutes. Awesome space groove that still isn’t long enough. I’m also fond of the special mix of Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes, which incorporates some sections of the live versions of this song.
Polydor may seem unusual for Hip Hop Be Bop, but how it was for me atleast (no picture sleeve) the B-Side being Part Two Still a stone cold classic of the era in the UK

You're right......... 12" version of "America" is 20 minutes. "Mountains" feels like 20 minutes, but is only 10

Depeche Mode really took the 12 inch mix to the next level. I'm so lucky to have gotten their singles box sets, which go for stupid money right now if you can find any of them. This is probably my favorite one, the "Split Mix" of Never Let Me Down Again. Best played very loud!
