I was thinking about this the other day while listening to Radiohead's "In Rainbows" and that I have not enjoyed a record more that this one in quite a while.
Coincidentally the album was released as a free digital download in October 2007, nearly ten years ago.
I can remember it like it was yesterday and would never have guessed "In Rainbows" is almost ten years old.
Five, maybe six years old but ten years?! Wow.
The album just works for me and includes some very strong songs ranging from up tempo to hauntingly melodic.
Radiohead "In Rainbows", my favorite album in the last ten years.

Probably either The White Stripes' Icky Thump or The Arctic Monkeys' AM.

Into the Wild (Sountrack - Eddie Vedder) followed closely by Ouroboros (Ray Lamontagne)

But I'd be remiss not to mention Sky Blue Sky (WILCO).

Wow, that's a hard question, so many records I love from the last 10 years, first thought was to pick the amazing Beauty Will Save the World from The Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus, only released in 2015 but listen to it all the time, so many words written around here about it.

But looking back over the years, back to 2007, there's the Sojourner pine box from Magnolia Electric Co, and that includes both Nashville Moon and Black Ram, two of my favorite albums, either could be a pick here, but both together... has to be Sojourner.

You see I nailed my guilt to the back of my eyes
So I see it now before the sun...

Though I'm not necessarily a massive Primal Scream fan--their output has always been a bit uneven for me--I really loved More Light, a sprawling, ambitious opus that seems to capture the dark, conflicted spirit of the times while also reaching for the light. A rare double album without a dud track, it really takes you on a journey.
