The first time i hearf Def Leppard was when the singles from Hysteria were being played on the radio. A friend at school leant me the album and ive been a fan ever since. Hysteria will always be my favourite but i love Pyromania too. Owned that one on vinyl.

I saw Def Leppard live in Sheffield, here in the UK in the 90's. It was referred to at the time as the 'coming home concert'. It was a beautiful summers day, the concert was recorded and broadcast months later on TV. I saw myself in thr crowd. The concert can be found on Youtube.

    Happy memories!

Hysteria is one on the best sounding CD's ever produced imo. Either originals or MFSL. Even today the album blows me away. Love it to bits!

High 'n' Dry, for me. I do think Pyromania's their best album, though.

I voted High 'N' Dry, but I'd accept anything that came before Hysteria.

Yeah, but Pyromania and High 'N' Dry are much better albums; a bit like Rubber Soul and Revolver!

Pyromania followed by High n Dry and Slang. Their latest album had its moments as well.

"Some Other"? Why not list them all? Slang is in my top 3 (Hysteria is tops, High 'n' Dry #2).

High 'n' Dry for me. "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" alone makes this my fave.

I love these guys!!!! Seeing them for the umpteenth time coming up in February. I dig most of their LP's a lot.....other than Sparkle Lounge really. I voted for Hysteria....Not just because the songs are great minus Excitable, but also because I got to share one ear of my headphones with a girl I had a huge crush on while our school bus took us on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History. Together we tried to figure out the lyrics to Love Bites and Animal the whole ride in. Led to a kiss later at the Museum....so while I may like Pyromania a smidge more, nostalgia voted for Hysteria;)

    High N Dry, easy.
Love the first three. Even though I haven't purchased anything new of theirs since whenever Adrenalize came out (save Viva Hysteria), they are such a huge part of my childhood I can't hate them as much as I should.

Hysteria, it's one of my desert island albums. I know it's really too poppy ("we wanted to make a Rock-album which you could even find at your granny's" - hm, strange goal!o_O), but somehow, it gets me everytime I put it on.
Pyromania is great, too, but it's really bad sound is keeping it from the pole position.
High'n'Dry is fantastic also, but there's always that little devil to remind me that's it's just a touch too much Lange's AC/DC-vision inside.
On Through The Night - oh, how I love this album! Nevertheless it will always sound a like a demo to me.
I adored Def Leppard in my youth, but these days, I think they were just a youthful and willing product/vehicle of it's producers and managers.:(

    Pyromania for me

Funny how it's almost all between the three Lange classics... with zero for Adrenalize or later. But I do agree, those three are the trinity of DL albums.

I have not played so much Def Leppard lately but "Hysteria" is the one I have fondest memories of. I also have "Pyromania" on LP. Maybe I should play them again. :waiting:
