It would probably just seem cheesy if I saw it today, but there was an airplane disaster movie called Miracle Landing (1990) that was pretty intense/frightening when I saw it as a kid. Based on a real-life incident where a plane lost part of its fuselage while in mid-flight:

Sole Survivor, a 1970 movie with William Shatner, among others. Its about a crew of ghosts still living at the site of their B-24 bomber, which crashed in the Libyan desert in WWII. Pretty good old flick. It made an impression on a 10 year old me...

The Dark Secret of Harvest Home with Bette Davis as the Widow Fortune. Its about a small town in Connecticut were people still worship the old ways, the old gods, I guess. I remember women screaming "THE CORN, THE CORN". I think they worshipped some creature or spirit of the corn. Pretty good IMO

The Night Stalker, 1972. This was a very good vampire flick with Darren McGavin. I remember my 11 or 12 year old self being scared witless at this vampire...

The Lathe of Heaven, starring the anti-mutant Senator from X-Men.

Every decade or so I check the net to see if the film print has been found, but chances are it is lost forever. A DVD was eventually cobbled together many years after it aired, sourced from surviving videotapes - but they were a smeary mess. Some believe that it is known who has the film print and that they were trying to get PBS to buy it back for a king's ransom but I think that was wishful thinking; most likely it just got lost.

James Franco's lesbian vampire remake of 'Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?' airs tomorrow night on Lifetime. If that doesn't turn out to be the greatest made for TV movie ever, I'll be bitterly disappointed.

Actually, even if I am disappointed, it'll still surely be the best worst made for TV movie ever, so there's that.

I guess after all these years we'll never see a home video of 80 Steps To Jonah...Wayne Newton, Butch Patrick, Sal Mineo, Mickey Rooney...a nice movie...

    Some really great ones!

I believe I have the DVD. I definitely taped it on VHS back when it was first aired. They didn't have the money for sync rights for With A Little Help From My Friends so they had a sound-alike. Bruce Davison was in another excellent TV movie called The Wave playing a teacher who demonstrates to his students how a fascist dictatorship can rise to power.

One that I can't believe hasn't been mentioned is Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black. The final scene haunted me for years!

Cast my vote for the Dirty Dozen sequels, including the last two which starred Telly Savalas. In 1985, the first DD sequel "Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission" had Lee Marvin reprise his role as Major Reisman. Although Telly previously appeared as a different character in the first film, he replaced Marvin to portray Reisman in the following two sequels. Ernest Borgnine is present in all 3 sequels, which makes for a nice treat.
