All Time Favourite and has been in my life since I was 5 years old as I remember my Dad's vinyl copy of the LP and now have my own copy of that very album. It for me is my favourite score of all time by one of my favourite artists, composers outright genius.

John Barry On Her Majesty Secret Service

I don't think any other action adventure score has the toe tapping brilliance of this work, yes John Williams has produced some genius memorable work indeed with Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones but for me Barry's work here is unsurpassed.

His experimentation, his sense of melody his ability to weave the JB theme in and out of the action cues and of course the heartbreaking Hal David collaboration with Louis Armstrong We Have All The Time In The World.

All his previous Bond scores had been quality with YOLT hitting new heights but he peaked here and despite him never resting on his laurels right up till his Bond score swansong Living Daylights, this was the pinnacle of his efforts for this enduring series.

Most of my collection is film scores, so this is kind of like asking "What is your favorite album."

    I couldn't even give you a top 100 list.

The title track is awesome, probably my favorite Bond theme. I've never listened to the rest of that score apart from the movie.

Reminds me of one of my other favorites, Burt Bacharach and Herb Alpert for the 1969 version of Casino Royale. A lot of fun, but sort of a guilty pleasure.

Others that haven't been mentioned yet:

Ennio Morricone, The Sicilian Clan - The title track from that score was famously redone by John Zorn and Bill Frissell on Naked City but I love the whole score.
Jon Brion, I Heart Huckabees and Magnolia.
Johnny Greenwood, There Will Be Blood and Bodysong

And of course Bernard Herrmann's amazing run from Citizen Kane to Hitchcock to Taxidriver.
