Hmm. Scorcese might have made an interesting Godfather II but I meant Goodfellas (though I do love After Hours...)

I just picked up an incredibly rare DVD of that film... it's a special edition from Dark Sky Films that was never officially released, but apparently a few copies did manage to leak out into the market before the released was cancelled. I've owned the previous VCI and Anchor Bay editions for quite some time, but the Dark Sky edition actually has a better selection of extra features than either of those, so it's a pretty cool find! :)

I Preordered it but it was pulled before release date. Dispute over licensing if I remember correctly. Tim Lucas offered an MP3 of his commentary track as a prize for a Video Watchdog contest several years ago.

KBK along with Blood And Black Lace are the two Bava titles which really illustrate his visual genius and ability to create atmosphere.

Yeah, according to Wikipedia it was indeed a licensing issue:
Coincidentally, I've also got the recalled Dark Sky DVD of Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive...

  23. I don't think Bava ever made a film better than Lisa & The Devil, his true masterpiece. I'd also peg Rabid Dogs and The Girl Who Knew Too Much higher than the two mentioned. Come to think of it Twitch Of The Death Nerve was also a game-changer.
