I don't know how well this one charted, but it was released as a single in 1980, and certainly qualifies as a gem. Still love it to pieces today.
The Motors had a mini hit with Dancing in The Away (in an edited single). They were great and I was lucky enough to see em in a scruffy little club around 78/79. This was a top 10 hit and played to death on MTV, yet I think most think of them as a one-hit wonder thanks to (I Just) Died in Your Arms.
I always thought this was an 80's song, but it's actually from '78. But I think it still has that early 80's vibe so it counts.
