Has anybody compared a LITA reissue with an original?

That's great news. I thought her 2010 album La Pluie Sans Parapluie was one of her best albums. Much looking forward to this new one.

There's also a cd called "Live in the Sixties" coming out this month.

This is a great surprise. I thought she said she was basically done with recording and then her health issues also... very good news. Viva Francoise!

Posted on Facebook (automatically translated for me from the original French):

For a lot of reasonable reasons, I wasn't considering repeating an album. The circumstances have decided otherwise, as a starting point for sleep, a song by chance, from the Finnish band poets of the fall. I told erick benzi who liked it, and then sent me to my big surprise several beautiful melodies of his composition that inspired me a text. The great Sophie I hadn't asked for either but knew that I had started writing work, e-mailed me the broad, a great song, Pascale Daniel a envoûtante melody, Yael Naim a song in English that tears me down In the eyes... and the album was almost alone under the talented and benevolent leadership of Erick Benzi, without whom nothing would have been possible.

"Le Large" has been in heavy rotation with me. It's a beautiful song, and I'm glad to see the video suits it.

I've had a comp of hers on my I-pod for a while now, but picked up Tous les garçons et les filles and Mon amie la rose as a result of reading this thread. Some very, very good stuff! Thanks all!

Just downloaded Personne d'Autre from Qobuz in 24/96.

    It's pretty good.

Sound is very nice - there's a fair bit of reverb, it's not loud.

You're My Home is sung in English with her wonderful French accent.

The highlight for me is Quel Dommage.

Still wondering! Does the 1966 album La Maison Ou J'ai Grandi exist on CD in stereo? Every copy I have of these songs (including the compilations) appears only in mono.

The 1982 comp Nouvelle Édition features true stereo mixes of her early hits, including "La Maison où j'ai grandi".

Edit : I'd completely misread your question, sorry. According to Discogs, the 1996 French CD release is stereo, as is the 2016 US Future Days CD.
All French issues of this album are stereo, actually.

I'd love to see One-Nine-Seven-Zero get a decent reissue on vinyl. The original is very scarce.

On Discogs the Future Days CD has 'remastered from the original mono' written on it. In fact i thought all the Future days releases were mono. Wouldn't mind getting hold of a stereo copy myself.

Edit: Actually, just realised it's stereo on the La Collection 1962-1966 box, all except the track "La maison où j'ai grandi" itself.

That's odd. The French LP was "universal stereo" through Vogue's own "Scope Process". The EP seems to have been mono, however. Perhaps that's what they sourced ?
As I said, the track is true stereo on the 1982 Nouvelle Edition comp, though it may have been remixed for the occasion.

It came out on CD as part of the HMV Easy Listening collection.

When Ace reissued that album on cd in 2013, she requested that Soon Is Slipping Away was removed, so I think a vinyl reissue might be problematic.

Just found a stereo on a 1999 comp I never listen to - doesn't seem like I was missing out on much tbh. Even so, can't think why they put the mono for just that track on La Collection.

The first EP version would likely have been mono. That might well have been their source.

My 1996 French Cd is mono as well. Will see if I have Nouvelle Édition. "La Collection" I do not possess. Thanks for the investigating.
