Yeah Jim, I need to track down a RRE Official Version LP, My Wax is pretty beat up and not totally satisfied with the sound, it could be that it's been played thousands of times

It had a really bad crease in it, so for about 4 months under about 75 pounds I was finally able to do a drop on it, Thank God for once YT kills the sound quality, it's hiding quite a few artifacts

Haven't listened to Front 242 in years. I remember buying Front By Front around the time they supported Depeche on tour. Quite an amazing album(especially Headhunter V 3.0). Need to revisit that one.

This is the album who Introduced me to the fascinating world of EBM music, the first time I heard the album I was fascinated by the cold - robotic voice and from the sounds.

Headhunter is amazing track , this is another great favorite from the album:

I like both the original and the remastered , the remastered is not too loud or has Excessive Eq, for the other Front 242 titles I prefer the original cds.
Glad I save you some money

I've enjoyed 05:22:09:12 Off (bought recently). It's quite different from the earlier albums I have from them.

c-eling Dinner's In The Microwave Sweety

Sometimes it takes me awhile to notice things, just tonight looking at my old Evil OFF 1993 cd, I have two, both US, the first one bought on release day the center hub has one line white center
    EAC 87.8/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.6/97.7/97.7/97.7/51.0/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7
The second one I found a couple years ago at a thrift, bought for the sticker (shocked it was still there), I had used the other one years ago :D , now the hub on this one has two lines white center, pressed at a different US plant DIDP 080260 on the face, no indication of a record club, both barcodes are exact, both had the hype sticker on the front
    EAC 77.0/100/100/100/100/100/100/100/100/51.0/100/100/100/100/100/100
Now I'm wondering where and why the other level adjust/mastering came from, if someone has a UK/German press can you match these levels? thanks :)

I like Official Version and Front by Front quite a bit, but if pressed, I'd say I'd have to go with Geography as my favorite. It has a stripped down feeling not too dissimilar from early Fad Gadget and pre-stardom Human League, which I really like.

I also think that OV and FBF have aged a lot better than a most of the EBM stuff from the same era and are certainly preferable to any new EBM-styled music coming out since the late 90s (which I loathe).

I also have the US cd : EAC 87.8/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.6/97.7/97.7/97.7/51.0/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7/97.7.

The closing track from OFF , I love the The frantic Rhythm and the hysterical vocals.

    A little late Reply :)

I understand that the remastered campaign delayed.

I love the old cds , they sound Great.
The 1992 remastered cds sound fine.
