I'm speechless and very sad by this..GM was and still is my favorite singer

 

Incredible version! His loss is just awful news. He had a tremendous voice!

Words fail me. Almost. This is hard to take in.

I thought this was a hoax when my mum said about 20 minutes ago that she was reading something on Facebook... I just KNEW that today, there would be someone who was/is very, very big in the music world would pass away today. I felt this for weeks. Just feel total shock now.

Everything he did, he did with soul and authenticity. That's what I know and what I hear from his music.

RIP George and blessings and comfort to his friends, family and associates.

 

Is his 70-something dad his only close family member still living? Might be a repeat of the Prince estate on the horizon.

 

Another true artist gone. Enough already.

This track is just one example of his enormous reach and control.

 

They were the BIG 80's this is an even BIGGER LOSS.

I wouldn't describe myself as a major fan but I enjoyed his music. Great songwriter and hugely soulful voice. 53 is no age. A terrible loss.

Absolutely horrible news. I'm gutted. Although he has the right to privacy, I do wonder what happened.

So surprised and saddened to hear this. George has produced some quality songs, and the live performances of his I have seen have always been excellent. December Song which I have heard a lot this month, is an underrated classic. Thank you for what you gave us George. RIP

 

Awwww. I am really heartbroken.
He was so, so talented, as a singer and a composer. I had the fortune to see him live, he had always perfect pitch, incredible skills as an entertainer.

This year has been so brutal to the world of music. Let's hope 2017 lets everyone be happy and healthy.
