“Golden Ears Club” — TV documentary on hifi buffs

Watch this documentary which lovingly portrays a group of middle-aged uncompromising hifi enthusiasts (some would definitely call them geeks) in a small town in southern Sweden – the Golden Ears Club.

The members challenge each other to settle who’s got the superior hifi setup at home. The winner gets to keep the desirable Golden Ear Trophy – until he is challenged again.

The dialogue is in Swedish, but it’s worth watching at least the beginning of the film even if you don’t understand Scandinavian – just to see the guys displaying their setups.

I have seen this documentary. It is great! However, a huge part of the fun is the way they talk... these are very geeky fellows but they are aware of it and displays a great sense of humour. Me and a friend watched this thing last year and still quotes several lines from it for fun.
