Mine was finally cancelled today. Not a surprise. Too good to be true.
DAMN! Talk about 9 months of foreplay and then being dropped cold...
Now over $500
$500...? heck, I got that on me...
Sometimes the Amazon Marketplace prices are wacky
I could list one for $400, doesn't mean it's gonna sell.
Last one on ebay sold for about $100
Anyone received this yet? Is this still in print? What's the hold up?
Still patiently waiting.
Still waiting, too, though everything else in my order shipped.
Messin with the wrong bunch if they are trying to wait us out.
We are well seasoned waiting for Music Direct titles over the years.
Price is now over 56 pounds.
Looks like you can't trust the deals posted by some members here!!
When is the next Amazon Prime Day 2018??
The hold up is probably that they don't want to fill orders at what was obviously an erroneous price. If they do get stock back in and quantities are sufficient, maybe you'll get lucky and they will fulfill your order. You may not end up getting the item, though, even if you keep the order open. It could eventually become unavailable while you wait. It happened to me in 2010 and I eventually decided to just pay more for the item in question rather than risk it going out of print and, thus, even more expensive used than full priced new.
Understood. They could easily just cancel the order if it’s, as you say, a pricing error. I don’t really need the set, so no biggie if I don’t get it. I just like playing the Amazon game.
Yep, that is what happened to many of us with the supposedly 'amazing' deal for the Grateful Dead set...
Yes, my thoughts as well. If it was a pricing error wouldn't they have canceled the orders by now?
Not necessarily... The kept us ALL on edge for, what, 9 MONTHS at a seemingly ridiculously low price for the GD set (what was it, like $10 or so, when the 'normal' price was like closer to $100...?) and THEN canceled it.
Maybe they were trying to find it and gave up after 9 months. Or maybe they were deliberately trying to torture the more sensitive among us. I like to think it was the former but I can’t be absolutely sure [virtual smiley-face emoji]. Meanwhile, I wonder when my 5 cd Who singles box set will ship.
My Grateful Dead box hasn't been cancelled, yet! The Jimi Hendrix was available at the low price for several days, maybe over a week, most mistakes get pulled much faster than that, but until they arrive they can always be cancelled, it's just wait and see.
Much longer than that, in fact:
Note the price fluctuations within the less than 18 pounds period. (I suggest zooming to 6 months or 1 year to see the price variability, even when it was at a very low price -- so this does not look like a pricing error. Of course, if they had no stock at that time, and could not fulfill orders, it does not matter what the price was. And they can still use the 'erroneous price' get-out-jail-free card should they need it.)
Fingers-crossed that they will eventually fulfill a few of these orders. It is a great set (even at normal price!).
How about the Tom Petty An American Treasure 4 CD set for approx. $25. USD !?!?!?!?
Thanks to @Graham !
^^^ Nice deal, comes out to £19 & change with shipping so likely around $26-27 once the release date rolls around. I have very little Tom Petty so this will supercharge my collection and probably lead me down yet another rabbit hole!
Latest Morrissey vinyl album £7 on Amazon U.K.
