you guys are KILLING me today. are these definitely clear? i have other clear abkco's and really like them. i just dont know if they did a standard run as well.
There was only two left when I ordered, and I got one of those. It's been sitting at around $22 forever.
yes it has. no big deal. it said "more on the way" when one copy was left. cld be put back up at $13.27.
The page still mentions the discounted price. Unfortunately, no source sells it for that price, anymore. It also doesn't appear possible to order at the discounted price and get it to be shipped later. So I guess you guys will need to wait to see if Amazon will still sell it at that price once they get other units in.
My Van Halen - Fair Warning showed up today. This thing sounds fantastic! I've got my favorite VH album on vinyl at a crazy good price. Thanks again @Strat-Mangler P.S. - It is still available to order. It's just out of stock right now.
You're welcome. Yes, it is still available for order through Amazon at the discounted price so I urge people to order it now before they revise the price once a new shipment comes in. Same with BB King's Live At The Regal. I've ordered it as well. I've enjoyed what Bellman has done with these VH remasters.
Which pressing did you get? The one advertised on Amazon is supposedly from Interscope Records but I checked and there doesn't seem to be one from them so I suspect that's an error. It is listed as being the 2016 version but there are 2 pressings ; one from DGC and the other from Bong Load Records. No idea which one is being sold here but the comments seem favorable.
It's weird that Amazon shows it as 'colored vinyl'...??? I can't find any indication on Discogs that either of the CB editions are 'colored'
Interesting... I just recently got this one too. It didn't blow my pants off sonically, but I THINK I remember it being decent. If you don't mind my asking, what was it specifically that you noticed about the sound?
Hmmm, my recent order on Amazon shows Interscope, but I cannot find that on Discogs...??? Only the DGC...
There are no colored pressings for any of the VH reissues. A Different Kind Of Truth was pressed in red, but that's it.
I'm not good at specifics which is why I rarely comment on sound. I did not do a shoot out with the CD. I just recall being disappointed with this record's dynamics. Perhaps the recording itself is squashed more than I remember.
Amazon's details and descriptions have been wrong, and incorrect for the entire 11 years I've been shopping there. By now it's a given.
King Crimson - In The Court of the Crimson King (vinyl, 200 gram, 2010 reissue) is $18.58 and floating in and out of stock: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0042EJD5I/?coliid=IM3NEM3WXP54P&colid=2I32RTHD15MYJ&psc=0
Thanks! I will say that listening to the FLAC version of his newest one, 'Colors' I think, I most definitely got the impression of VERY artificial / compressed / manipulated sound. I like the album, but in this case I feel no need to get the vinyl with that kind of production.
