    Hi guys,

I'd love getting some suggestions for classic French vocal pop/chanson of the 1930s-1950s on CD. I'm
looking for releases that have good sound, i.e. good transfers from original 78s that are not overprocessed.

Compilations, but also single-artist releases would be very appreciated.

I have a double called "Café de Paris" (aren't they all?) which sounds excellent.

I'll see if I can dig out a link.

I have a marvellous collection of pre-war songs called "Francais, vous chantiez..."

No idea if it exists on CD, but it's a great-sounding double LP.
