After discovering the brilliant "Check My Machine" by Macca this reminded me of the also great "All The Tired Horses" by Dylan.

Both are great, both have very, very few words e.g one refrain.

Are there any other ones out there?

“Revival” by The Allman Brothers Band essentially has one brief verse and a repeated refrain. That’s all it needs!

Does "Hocus Pocus" by Focus count, or is yodeling not considered vocals?

Although it's merely a decent song and not a great song

I do like the song...but I don't think it can be counted. Same for Mumbo by Wings.

I was also thinking of Stoked by Beach Boys, but I'm ruling it out too.

Lindsay Buckingham's "Holiday Road" only has something like 21 separate words in it.

    John Martyn - "Small Hours"

Almost 9 minutes long, these are the words:

"Going to get on up and fly away
Go on out for another way
    And a new day’s dawn
    Going to carry on.

Keep on loving while your love is strong
Keep on loving ’til your love is gone away.

Well you’re very lovely, going to take you home
They say you’ll be my ruin
    Cos I love you so
    I just love you so.

Keep on loving ’til your love is gone
Keep on loving while your love is strong
    All the way."

    Beautiful song.

I heard about an 18minute-long version of Bip-Bop on the 'Wild Life' thread. Perhaps that's the great version :wiggle:
