I finally saw this guy as part of the Roxy Music reunion tour. He's played with everyone including Jack Bruce, Nilsson, Elton John, Eno and Tom Waits. He's 59 years old today and still plays great. Happy Birthday! Cheers! Norm
I really liked his solo album "Cafe Days". The MFSL aluminum CD version, which I still play frequently, sounds great. When I first heard it, I noticed some similiarities with Mark Knopfler.
I saw him play with The Pretenders on their first US tour. He also did a great job on Robert Gordon 's Rockabilly Boogie album.
Saw his band open for and then backup Robert Gordon. Great guitarist. ...and of course Robert could pick 'em: Link, Chris and Danny.
