No fair - there's not an option for "both." ;)

    Can I vote "neither?" ;-)

YCAGWYW may be the Stones' biggest "hit" that I cannot stand. Same with "Hey Jude" for the Beatles. Every time I hear either of these songs being played live, I think to myself "how long is this going to be dragged out and when will it end?" Since both have been reserved for encores lately, it's usually too late to grab a beer.

But, I'd have to go with YCAGWYW as the one I enjoy more.

Both great songs in my opinion.
    Can't choose.

  6. I voted for "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Both songs start out a lot better than they end.

'You Can't Always Get What You Want' is fantastic, and I love the 'Rock'n'Roll Circus' clip, but it is derivative of 'Hey Jude' and the Beatle song is one of their very best records, so it's 'Hey Jude' for me.

An absolute classic. One of Paul's most perceptive songs.

The studio YGAGWYW has never done that much for me, prefer it live with Taylor.

    Always loved Hey Jude.

Both great tracks. I prefer the way "You Can't Always Get What You Want" builds as the the song progresses; fantastic production. "Hey Jude" clearly builds up to a lush, powerful finish, but the first half the song is a bit underwhelming from a production standpoint and that is why I give the nod to The Rolling Stones on this one.

I've loved thats song since preschool, when I heard it on "Hot Rocks". That was 1980 :)

I like both immensely, but that final crescendo of Hey Jude is my idea of pure pop heaven

Both are definitely considered classic songs, and obviously I love both bands, but neither song is one that I'm particularly crazy about. I prefer "You Can't" by a hair though.

Plus, I always cringe when I hear grown men sing lyrics like "nah nah nah." Are you seriously telling me that Macca couldn't come up with something better than gibberish for the climax of that song? It seems a bit lazy to me.

Tough call and much better challenge than the Sympathy vs Helter Skelter challenge.

I have to give my vote to Hey Jude...I mean, it's flippin' Hey Jude.

YCAGWYW is of course a classic. However, I have become fatigued with it over the years. It is also a bit on the pretentious side. Especially the choir at the very beginning.

Hey Jude for me, hands down.

Neither. They both have crappy codas that go on for too long. ;)

    Same as the last matchup.........

I'm a bigger Beatles fan, but prefer YCAGWYW. Hey Jude maybe the one Beatles song I'm sick to death/burnt out on.

I prefer the Stones over the Beatles in general, but Hey Jude all the way here. Probably my least favorite Stones song.

Nine times out of ten the Beatles will get my vote over the Stones, but this is one of the 10%. I don't dislike "Hey Jude," but I'd like it a lot better without the ridiculous na-na-na-na part. (I still remember the first time I looked at the label and saw the time - 7:11 - and thought that must be a misprint. Nope.)
