    Yes, the Hi-Res downloads are the same mastering as the DVD-A's.

    The only remixes are the 5.1 mixes. HDTracks might have done their downmix business where they mistakenly take the 5.1 mix and fold that down to stereo or just take the front channels as if it was a stereo mix. I haven't checked.

    yikes. that would be absolute amatuer hour. i have been ripping DVD-As for years and have never done that by mistake.

    but assuming they did not screw up...it is good to know it is not a remix.

    I own it, it's the same mastering as the original US CD, just in 24bits, EQ and DR are the same.

    Hmm. This CD was released in the mid 80s, 24bit digital didn't exist at the time. Is it real 24bit? Have they maybe transfered the mastered analog tape?
