Can't choose just 3; cop-out I know... so I'll piggyback on your 3 excellent selections with a leaning towards Janis (and Big Brothers')Cheap Thrills over Pearl. Got to take a stand somewhere along the line.

Can't argue with Billie; but I lean towards her Columbia sides. Not that anything she committed to wax was anything less then etherial.

Nice call on the Jane Siberry; not that the Roseanne or Joni (of your 3 or I'd choose Blue) but Jane Siberry, in particular When I Was Boy is usually overlooked. Calling All Angles!

Excellent trifecta... never heard any respect for Walk The Dog and Light The Light in Laura Nyro discussions. Nothing negative; but never a nod.

"Like" not exclusively for but predominantly for the brilliant Esther Phillips: From A Whisper To A Scream.

I heard Little Star and then my GF at the time (total nightmare but another story girl) bought me the CD and since that time I bought Memories Of A Colour - not sure when exactly but soon after Christmas!

That was almost a crime. But I have a proposal - tell me another Stina L.P. I might like - something nice - I see she has made seven now?

    Oh yeah, I concur Fenderesq..
Too much like choosing a best child in a way, many may think that silly. So many more.. I feel I should have put Sister Rosetta Tharpe as I had first intended .. Oh well, enough things to lose sleep over
