How different is a lacquer ?

    I've just bought my first lacquer and was wondering what type of differences there are likely to be in the sound (if any).

    I thought only 78s are made of laquer. If it is a 78 I think you need a specific cartridge and preamp EQ to play it back correctly. Don't clean it with alcohol!!!!

    You also have to have a turntable setup able to accept a 16" playing surface.

    Most arms get in the way around 13". You need an arm setup with long-distance range.....
