I saw a copy of Some Girls with the original cover (ie, all the faces) today in a record store for $20. How rare is this, and is it worth me going back and picking it up?

Not that rare really. Check Ebay, lots out there. If it's completely mint I'd say grab it, if not though I'm sure you can find a less expensive copy.

Any Stones experts here? Please speak up as I don't want to ill advise Michael.

I don't think they are that rare. If you want to take a drive down to Sagamore beach I can hook you up with a copy. I have 4 or 5 easy. Always a pleasure helping out a fellow board member!

Thanks, George, I get down to the cape every so often, and I'll keep you in mind next time I do!

I've seen it around quite a bit, although, for legal reasons, it's not generally sold in retail anymore.

No problem Mike. Just send me a pm when you'll be down. I'm off from work quite a bit in November and December.

UK copies are rarer than US or CDN. ones. I remember when SH came out, in 6/78, my local import shop in Vancouver first got in the CDN. ones, then a while later, the UK imports. When the cover became an issue, the CDN. ones stayed around a while, the UK ones changed almost immediately. UK inners have rounded corners, so its easy to tell them apart from US or CDN. ones.
