A good example of a US 'sticky' Nimbus would be Roy Orbison's -Mystery Girl 1989

I've had my hands on a LOT of cd's and have never found it necessary to go beyond breathing on it and immediately wiping with whatever t-shirt I'm wearing at the time. Zero problems.

    Exactly this.
Be careful though not to wipe with the shirt button :hide:

I have had good luck using the MagicFiber cloths- they do not scratch the
    Cd’s

This is exactly what I have been doing with my glasses for about 35 years now. I've yet to scratch a pair, and the optomologists are always amazed at the condition of my lenses. And yes, this works great on CDs which aren't really filthy, or badly scratched.

I just clean them the same way i clean my glasses, breath & wipe with shirt. If its a really dirty used cd, i use the eye glass cleaning solution & cloth.

Not really. Everything I've ever tried have left visible scratches. Good news is, ugly as they might be, those scratchs won't affect the reproduction. Buy new and prevent dust and fingerprints from reaching the CD and problem solved.
