I think so. Who wouldn't want Jagger to front their band?

Mick is the first person I think of when I hear the term.

With all my respect for Freddie, Iggy, Bruce D and Paul Stanley, all terrific frontmen there can be only one.

Yes. That being said, "greatest" can mean a lot of things, many of them that have nothing to do with the actual recordings..

But when you think of the Rolling Stones, you probably see Mick in your mind first.

When you think of the Beatles, do you see the four of them in your mind all at once? I do.

:-plnktn-: As good a showman as any, but by no means the best singer. His voice has a lot of character, but not a whole lot of range.

Probably yes, but I'd I think if I had a choice, I'd rather see Morrison in action back then

I was just thinking the other day, I bet you could make a pretty compelling argument for Mick being one of the most photographed people in all of history. Think tens of thousands of photographs, at thousands of shows, appearances and events, cameras following him everywhere, it starts to add up. Everywhere he goes, and every time he steps on the street, he literally gets his picture taken. Most other people in the short list of that type of fame (JFK, Princess Diana, super models, etc) only held the limelight for much shorter periods of time.

No, that's Iggy Pop. Mick's second though.

Jagger has been a rock'n'roll icon for over 50 years, and in his 70's can still perform with outstanding charisma and energy. If any one man can wear the crown, it's him.

Hm, no. Not everyone wants their frontman to be a pedantic prima donna in a sponsored stadium show. Mick Jagger never was as dangerous as Jim Morrison, or as enigmatic as Kurt Cobain. You felt that something was happening when they performed--and that anything could happen.

It's not even close. He's better in his 70s then anyone else in there 20s.

I wouldn't argue very long if someone thinks Mick is the greatest frontman of all time. He put down the foundation and then amazingly can still do it convincingly 50 years later.

I'd pick David Lee Roth, but Mick would never go below second place.

No, because Jagger is much more than just a "frontman."
