I have no patience with "culture" that glorifies or wallows in criminal behavior.

Wow! If you're serious, the list of major TV series (and movies for that matter) you're missing out on is major.

I don't either. In real life. But for a TV show, it's pretty rich material. The show is fantastic. Even if I wouldn't want to hang out with any of these guys.

Sons Of Anarchy doesn't glorify what you're suggesting.

. . . but I'm not missing out on them. I choose not to watch them on purpose. I find them offensive.

I don't want to hang out with them, either. Not even through a TV screen.

I believe they affect peoples' attitudes.

Can't say how you'll feel about it but it's in the top ten of my all-time favorite TV shows/series. Love it.

  9. I don't think it's the former and for the latter it shows the consequences of that behavior. Before you judge it perhaps you might want to see it first.

I hope anyone that simple minded wouldn't be out in the general public, on a daily basis, or allowed near sharp objects.

Do you have to like motorcycles and all that crap to like this series?

No. I watched the hole series and predicted the ending by season 2. I mean right down to how it happened.
Jax Teller's character is just corny, and the actor is just another David Caruso. Not to mention his white tennis shoes and Harley's with LED lights etc.

The series was good, at first.

  18. As I wrote earlier the premise is much like the Godfather only w a motorcycle gang . Obviously not as good, but a gang, a family, trust, distrust, betrayal, infidelity and so on..... I loved the godfather and I'm not a member of the mafia

    Season 1 is great
    Season 2 is pretty good
Season 3 is decent, apart from the horrible "Irish" remix of the theme song

After that it turns to pure garbage, with the last season being totally unwatchable.

I believe it's been established that the family framework/dynamic of the show is actually based on Shakespeare's Othello. Not having read or seen the bard's play I couldn't say for sure. Also, re: Jax's white sneakers, I saw an interview where the actor stated he researched motorcycle gangs while prepping for the role and his character was based on a real biker/outlaw, right down to the white sneaks!

I've seen a few episodes and it's a decent show.
Where I live, the 'bruhs' praise the show.

I wouldn't compare it to breaking bad.

Great drinking game. Take a shot every time they say the Club or Sam Crow and you'll never see the end of an episode.

I found it a bit silly at times and didn't buy into the Jax character at all but some of the other players are fun. It made for good entertainment once I accepted it for what it was and not what I was hoping for. Nowhere near the Wire but I'm going to enjoy some Clive Cussler along with my Dickens.

This show jumped the shark when Katy Sagal started singing.

I believe I read an interview with Sutter that in every season Sagal would sing at least one song. So it jumped the shark in the first season?
