...the difference between the SH Toga Rock Vol.1 and the non-SH version, without actually hearing it first? TIA.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

There's no clue on the outside of the remastered "SH" CD, although I don't own the original. If you find a used opened CD, on the Disc it says; "Remastered by Steve Hoffman, 2/88.

If you got it from Tom (recently), I'd say it's almost a dead certainty that it's Steve's version. I just got mine from him this week, and it was Steve's.

Incidentally, since Steve's remaster was done way back in 1988, I would say one dead giveaway for a sealed copy would be the sticky white title band across the top of the disc, which wasn't used until years later, and therefore would indicate that the disc is a newer pressing (i.e. - one of Steve's).

I think this was covered on the old DCC Forum, but look at the label. If my name is on there, it's the right one. Or, play the disc. If "I Fought The Law" by The Bobby Fuller Four and "Twist And Shout" by The Isley Bros. are in stereo, it's the one I did....

Sckott, yeah I already knew about the 2 stereo tracks it's just that it doesn't state that Steve did it on the outside anywhere (back panel or white sticker), and it's sealed.

It would be rarer, IMHO, if it wasn't a Steve. Betcha that's what it is.
