Yes, buy them. Cornwalls are wonderful speakers. I have heard them many times sound great, they work well with VERY low powered amplifiers, and they look VERY impressive. They usually sell for $700 to $3000, depending on age and condition. But it doesn't matter much how old they are, because they have ALWAYS sounded great. I would use them with a low-powered tube amp, preferably SET, but that is a matter of varying opinion.

Absolutely, assuming they are in good working condition. I've never seen them listed so low on craigslist.

Get them. Please don't reply until you have them set up in your house.

haha thanks everybody! this squirrel rarely finds a nut, so I'm pumped. it's a friend, not craigslist or anything so I'm safe.

I have a pair of KEF reference 105 which I love, but this sounds too good to pass up. maybe I can hook them both up and alternate.

I paid 500.00 for a pair from 1981 with beat up cabinets. After a refurb including reveneering with walnut and Crites tweeters and crossover upgrades they look and sound like new. So yes.....go get them!

Does anyone know if the brand-new Klipsch Heritage line of speakers are still made in the US?

If the cabinets are in good shape $250 is a total steel. I'd buy them even if the drivers were busted and replace everything with new Crites drivers and crossovers. They'll sound superb!
