If you love this album, search out the "Pressure Drop" & "Shuffle It All" CD Singles, between them, there are 5 unreleased tracks from the album sessions that make great companion pieces..

I don't disagree with this part of the statement, but as a solo artist Axl IMHO is the only one who can write a great record without the other guys. Guns was great as a group, but you split them up and the majority of the guys just release a bunch of mediocrity.
With Izzy's history and notoriety as a member of one of the world's biggest bands, he would still be on a record label if he wrote great records.
It's not like he was in the position of Anvil, he had already made it big.

I'd like to take a moment to point out that Izzy's released about 5-7 albums since this album and they're all overlooked and all better than this one (in my opinion). If you're an Izzy fan, it's totally worth your while to hunt them down.

I've never heard any of Izzy's stuff except this one. Was it released on vinyl?

I never really thought much of this album. That being said, I have enjoyed the majority of what Izzy has released.

Oh dear! Why? He is too good to not have his albums released on CD.

I used to quite like "Train Tracks". Rick Richards does some nice slide on it.

After a Dave Edmunds binge this CD seemed like a great way to keep the smart, interesting groove going. I bought this when it came out and every few years I pop it on and always think the same thing; Great freaking music and really nicely made in my opinion.

I agree this is a great lost album. Somewhere I have a bootleg of these playing live that is really good as well.

The cds can be overburned. Some of the discs in the Bear Family Chuck Berry box set are over 80 minutes as well.

    Good album.

His replacement in G'N'R - Gilby Clarke also put out a nice debut album - Pawnshop Guitars.
Well worth searching out if you don't have it.

Rick Richards is a legend here in Atlanta, for good reason. That guy is easily one of the best straight ahead rock and roll players on earth.

For those interested, the new Music on Vinyl reissue is superb. Very warm sound. I did not know that George Marino initially mastered this. A must for fans of this overlooked album.

Great tip on a fantastic album! I just finally picked up this mini-LP SHM-CD and I couldn't be any happier. Adding in four of the five original B-sides (only missing "Got Away") and the live EP and you basically end up with a superb deluxe edition of the original album. Such a truly lost gem and definitely worth of a considerable reappraisal some 24 years later!

How does one burn a CDR copy of an 80+ minute disc?
