Nice! It's like 23 minutes long, right? Bought it when it came out on CD and was initially put off by the album's length. The music made me forget all about that though :)

I just added all the tunes up at 23:07. It says right on the cover; "specially priced 6 cut mini album". Of course I overlooked that fact when I scored it for 99 cents at a thrift in mint condition. :pleased:

We'll make up for the short album. :)

All I can say is I didn't pay no 99 cents for my cd  'Nother great AH album. Title says he must've been tired -- not so for the Breckers :D:

and of course the obligatory ticket stub from that enjoyable evening. Hard to believe it was over 30 years ago. The Park West Chicago was the place to see the shows back in the day. I practically lived there.

Thanks Bro! That Duke is excellent. I wish he did more solo albums like that.

This one's similar, just as good and came out same year, I believe. Cover's also pretty cool:

Another album by the late, great keyboard player and arranger of impeccable skill. Herbie Hancock spoke very eloquently at Clare's funeral of his skills and influence on Mr. H. On this album Clare plays an Imperial Bosendorfer Concert Grand and a Yamaha Concert Grand.

Does anyone else have any music on the Discovery label, particularly Clare Fischer?

More great stuff. I like the Enja trio albums as well! Swallow and Nussbaum! I was just listening to the Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood albums the other day. I think they have a new one coming out soon.

Not sure about Ax. Hope all is ok with him.

Cool label! That era of jazz is my Achilles heel. I can appreciate it in small bites but so far have not really bought any of the music. I think my oldest jazz begins in the 1940s, the birth of bebop.

No Discovery, but I have these and can recommend both:

There's also a couple of Fischer trio albums on this which are quite good:

    Good dish washing music!

@Jettman I have Thesaurus and I've seen the other two. I wasn't sure about the Mosaic but partly because of the jumble of artists together on discs together, not my favorite listening style.
Next time I see Extension I am going to grab it. The silver lining around an artist not well known is their music usually sells for less money, the old supply and demand rule....
Twenty years ago I probably wouldn't have appreciated Clare's skills like I do now.
