 Not sure, but that sounds fun! Maybe a Ouiji board?

Didn't her old collaborator Dave Stewart play in Egg, and National Health and Hatfield and the North and even Bruford? Now that would be a fun project.

Ah I love jazz cynicism. :)

I think she wanted to do something different. That's what what I heard sounded like to me. And she has a nice voice, and she can sing. The fault I'll point to so far is that what I heard takes no chances. She should have gone a bit further. But, I need to hear the whole thing, experience it top to bottom. Time to listen like that is at a premium for me these days, and I have a few other new arrivals ahead of it for that kind of listening (two Gary Burtons on RCA, a Linda Sharrock and a Prince cd to name a few).

Likewise! I'd imagine it would be best late and the lights low.

No, that's a different Dave Stewart. The Eurythmics one is known as David A Stewart to avoid confusion apparently.

Another record from my recent buying spree, really good stuff. I saw a quote from Dave Holland saying that "Sam Rivers' band was his finishing school", or something to that effect. I should probably get more of Rivers' records.

I don't understand your question. I have broad musical tastes. I'm a Prince fan. Is that surprising? I threw away my jazz snob card a long time ago!

Right now, at my parents' and spinning disc 4

Ah geez, my drummer's brain saw "cymbalism". I'm definitely not a cynical cymbalist, it gives me tintinabulation.

Interesting, was checking out credits for Idris Muhammad, who plays on the above Sanders date and found out he was the original drummer in the pit and the MD for this, and he's on the original cast recording:

A little Amoeba shopping on my lunch break. I have high hopes for both of these based other recordings I have by both. I gave up on trying to find The Jewel In The Lotus on vinyl so was happy grab a used cd. I loved the other Wasilewski trio recordings and excited to see them cover Actual Proof by Herbie Hancock.

Will give my thoughts on these over the weekend after a couple listens.
