Arrived yesterday and both are much better than I thought they were going to be. Usual top-notch production standards by Ace plus their usual informative liner notes.

Oh man, this is great news!!!! I am definitely getting my hands on that Caliman debut. The one I REALLY want is Iapetus with the mighty Todd "Bayete" Cochran on Rhodes. They need to do that one next!

I have a lot of heavenly sweetness/Blue Note reissues. Including Breaking Point. Yes, they are well pressed records. Hope they keep up the good work.

I have this on CD, but looked for years for a reasonably priced version of Sorcerer on record.

Picked up the new MOFI 45 rpm reissue today for reasonable cash at a local shop. It is just stunningly good.

    Keep them coming MOFI.

I don't know about all this drama with Cos but this here is a pretty bangin' early 70s album with a dark and heavy spiritual vibe. The mysterious band he assembled is rumored to include Joe Henderson and Sonny Sharrock. Just two MASSIVE cuts of cosmic jazz goodness. I really dig this opening cut which is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King:

It's funny how my warning about a particular photo in a post is quoted after someone quoted the picture again. Weird!
