Something a bit off the usual agenda. A book of interviews with jazz musicians, all done between 1964 and 1965.Garth W. Caylor did the interviews with a notion to publishing it, but couldn't find a publisher so his work stayed on the shelf until recently. This book is more than your usual Q & A.The musicians talk in long form. Most of the interviews took place in the musicians homes.Steve Lacy, Paul Bley, Carla Bley, Ornette Coleman, Jimmy Giuffre,Archie Shepp,Milford Graves,Sunny Murray,John Tchicai and others.

A wonderful read and i highly recommend it.Check out the link.

I've got a compilation disc by Jimmy Smith and I'll check to see if any of the tunes have Wes on them. :)

    Thanks.

Long weekend (so far) at AXPONA and after much listening both at the con and in my home with a buddy, enjoying this one for the late evening (though my LP pressing basically sucks):
