God, I hope this one is nice and loud, just as it should be. You can do it, Reid Brothers!

Edit: To celebrate, I have dragged by Blanco & Negro version of Psychocandy out of the shelves, and I'm amused to recall that my copy has two Side One stickers, one on each side. So punk! :D

I hope it's a good, long CD 75+ minutes long so it will be like getting two studio albums for the wait.

    It is owed to us.

I disagree. While I look forward to the new album, we are owed nothing. Go get Sister Vanilla's Little Pop Rock in the meantime.

They never did a bad record in my book. Even though S&D and Munki could you use a little trimming both are excellent records with memorable songs

Hopefully not. I mean... who wants/ needs/ listens to 75+ minutes cds in 2016. Things like that were the reason I went back to vinyl in 1998. 75+ minutes cds are evil.

Besides that they already did it with "Munki". Well almost. But that was in the 90's when album often were too long.

Maybe, if we're lucky (I know this is nothin' but a pipe dream) they'll put out a 45 minute album in March and another 45 minute album in September.

  13. And personally, I think Automatic could be edited down to an EP.

I don't doubt many wouldn't be in agreement with you.
But I'd love to have another record by them more in the vein of Psychocandy.

Who knows, maybe the latest tour for Psychocandy inspired them to go in that direction

Some thrashing drums would have done wonders for it imho..

It's mystifying that they are using drum machines again.

Amputation is J&MC by numbers. How many times have we heard that intro before? And although I cannot place it now, there is a distinct line which was lifted from somewhere else. I'm thinking a Jim Reid solo or Freeheat tune.

I don't hate it but I'm hoping for more in whatever comes next.
