Sad news. He played bass on the Argent albums that I love and one of my favorite albums of all time....Ring of Hands.

Saw him play many times with the Kinks - always looked to have a smile despite being in the midst of the bickering brothers - real pro, good solid bass player and backing vox - hardly notice him when he's there but miss him when he's not.

RIP Jim . Saw him twice with Argent in the early 70s and with the Zombies on that first reformation tour in 2003 or 04. What a solid bass player.

The bass is mixed prominently in "Easy" by Phoenix...

Very sad news. Saw him play many times with Argent, The Kinks and The Zombies. A wonderful musician and apparently an even better person.

No, it's the original Zombies bassist, Chris White, with that legend on his bass...

Can't it be both? (cos it was both?) .. curiouser and curiouser.. I'm beginning to think that this is some huge injoke only known to the secret society of bassists..

What happened to the tour? Did they get a replacement? Who? Can't find anything on the website...

There is a new bass player, a young guy from Denmark. He wasn't Jim Rodford but fit in surprisingly well. They dedicated the show to Jim and played "God Gave Rock & Roll to You" in his honor.
