Oh, no. That is wrong on so many levels. First of all, Hendrix didn't even approve of the original version, so why re-shoot it?

Maybe they could photo shop Janies face on to all the ladies on the UK cover. Im sure that would fly well with a lot of members on this forum.

I always felt this cover reflects the music inside better than any other cover.
Had it been used it would have been one of the classic album covers of the 60s.

This was a really solid cover, and Hendrix had a taste in good covers. Just look at his American cover for "Are You Experienced."

No just cleaned up so it does not look so murky or re-done with new girls of that age group perhaps Janie could be on it ;) (no don't get offended that was just a silly remark)..... better still best leave that album cover in the past :)

I take it the sound is still overly compressed and brickwalled :(

you have to admit though the USA cover could have been a lot better and was a bit boring IMO

Hopefully they do, and have an open mind to what a 50th set could include :)

Yeah yeah, but I hope they ignore the idea of placing Janie's head all over the naked women.

I just pulled out my 5 Different cd’s and think I’ll be doing a fun comparison, this evening:

    1980’s Reprise
    1980’s West German Polydor
    1990 Reprise (re-1)
    1993 MCA
    1997 Experience Hendrix reissue

Id love them to release the isolated AATW rhythm guitar track. It used to be available on line and would pop up occasionally on guitar forums. Its mind bogglongly good. Even a lot of Jimi nay sayers would be wowed by it. I reckon itd make a great track on the oit take discs.

The second disc is the re-release of the "Classic Albums" film (with an extra 40 minutes of interviews etc.).

Sounded OK to me but then I'm not a sound expert. My go-to is a needle drop of a nice vinyl repressing or my original vinyls on Track and Reprise.:D

I haven't scoured setlists, but it has always been my impression that Hendrix played very little of Electric Ladyland live. It seems that "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" was the only song he played regularly, with "Watchtower" showing up only sporadically.

I've always wondered why Hendrix ignored so much of Electric Ladyland, his latest (and last) studio album, in his shows.
