I liked her in Panic Room. I believe she was pregnant while performing some of the more physical scenes.

Hopkins is only in the movie for 15 minutes or so. Foster carries the workload. Amazing movie, everyone involved was at the top of their game. Get the Criterion Blu-Ray if you haven't already. You will thank me later.

She looked really pretty in "Contact."

I wouldn't dare say that about "Taxi Driver." ;)

Ah, world-weary Audrey (Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore) : Tucson's the weird capital of the world...weird !
Audrey...Clarice, of course...Alethea (Kung Fu tv series)...just to name a few made so unforgettable by Foster.

She’s a great actress and has built up an impressive filmography over the years. Consistenly strong performances and intelligent script choices. Not a superstar but a real actor.

Fantastic, thank you for sharing this. She was indeed adorable. She always come across as very humble and modest too. In other words, likable.

Watched that recently. Don't see them making a film like that today. She was too young for the nude scene so they used her sister her was a little older.

Can you name another actor who has had so may classic films released in one year (and she was 14) as Jodie did in 1976:

    Taxi Driver
    Bugsy Malone
    Freaky Friday
The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane
(plus Echoes of a Summer which I have never seen).

    That's quite some range there!

Jodie's sister Connie doubled for her on Taxi Driver too.
She was several years older, but sufficiently similar height and build.

A final shout out to one of my all-time favourite films, 'A Very Long Engagement', which Jodie has a small role but she is fantastic for the short time she is on screen. It's a French film from the same Director as Amelie (with most of the same cast as Amelie).

She is a girl wanting to play baseball. At the end of the movie, she's on third and fakes her ankle injury by rubbing it. The picture looks away from her and she steals home and wins the game.

  21. I think I've had a crush on her since that lion movie she made with Johnny Whitaker in about 1970 (we're the same age).
In 1980 she made my summer. I was working in a tiny cultural wasteland of a town deep in the interior of British Columbia and was desperate for any kind of intellectual stimulation in those pre-Internet times. Then I got a Jodie Foster weekend! The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane was on CBC tv on Friday night and Foxes played the local movie theater the next night. That got me through the summer. (btw, Jodie Foster and Cheri Currie in the same movie? Did life get any better for an 18 year old male in 1980?)
