RIP. I thought he was great in After Hours, a hugely underrated movie, Cutter's Way and Between the Lines, a great little movie about an independent newspaper in Boston's Back Bay area.

Another sad loss under what could be considered sad circumstances :) . It seems the hardest thing I have to deal with (so far) in regard to "getting older" is many of those whose entertainment I enjoyed in my "younger years" are passing on ......

    RIP

I always liked the roles he played in his movies.

For a while, during their concurrent careers, I used to get him mixed up with actor J.T. Walsh.

Very strange that I should read that he died, since I literally just watched part of the first "Home Alone" earlier. Always hard for me to turn away when skipping through the channels, if Joe Pesci is on doing his thing.

The ball scene in the movie Big with Tom Hanks is my favorite part of the movie.

I used to get him mixed up with William Hurt, which caused me to mix him up with John Hurt -- who also kinda looks like J.T. Walsh!

  16. Oh wow...what a cool actor.

He was the kind that whenever he would appear on screen, it felt like home, because you just knew the face, the mannerisms, the style. He didn't need to be popular. He just needed to make it real...which he did. Every. Time.

It comes for us all, Ladies and Germs. There's no escaping it.

No worries. That's an example of why it is usually better to add your own comments on an article when you link to it rather than just posting a link with no new text. Otherwise you wind up with nothing except the "clickbait" headline and *you* unfairly get blamed for it. :)

Did not mean to post clickbait. What I should’ve done was post the link, then posted “New information about his death”.

I missed the postings about his death and I was pretty startled to see him in a TCM tribute to all who died this past year. We certainly lost quite a few.

    RIP to each and everyone.
