Bumping this again...now British Steel is also listed as a pre-order on Amazon DE for the same date 4/17/17,but there is very little info about any of these releases other than it's Sony and SAS & UITE are two disc sets. I have searched everywhere and can't find anything and only Amazon DE has these titles up for pre-order that I found. Anyone know anything about these upcoming reissues?

Just found out today that these are coming out in November or December, pre-orders up on Amazon again, but unclear on whether these are single or double vinyl sets...the list price seems to indicate doubles but the sale prices contradicts that.

It would be great if they included some of that live stuff from the deluxes in better sound.Priest has so many awesome concert recordings from the late 70`s to mid 80`s.

Don't hold my breath given how horrible every Priest-related reissue was.

True some of the later ones I`ve heard sounded like brickwalled cds.
This is probably the last chance for a properly done vinyl series.

FWIW....The dates in the fine print on the bottom of the jacket state 2001,2017.

I picked up SAS, UITE,BS & POE because I only had a beat copy of SAS from the 80'S and they sound like a CD transferred to vinyl, but with a bit more low end. Needed to really crank the volume knob, and they sound a little thin.

The vinyl is pressed well, but the quality of the artwork on the jackets is bad.

Bummer. Not that I was expecting much better.

FWIW, here's what I posted in this thread:

Building my Judas Priest vinyl collection from scratch

I picked up Point of Entry (it was only 12-bucks) since all I had was a well-worn original. Vinyl is clean, flat and quiet - nice quality. And yes, the cover, and album insert is a bit dark.

Sound is decent, not quite as good as an original, but not even close to as bad as the compressed remasters. Not sure of it's origins - just one date on the cover - 2017.

    Also:

I also downloaded the MP3's included with the LP.

    Wow, a DR of 12!

Anyone know who cut the vinyl?

No indication of a particular mastering/cutting engineer for POE:

Side 1 - Hand written MPO and what looks like an 8 or infinity symbol, then opposite of that 88985390851 A

Side 2 - Hand written MPO and what looks like an 8 or infinity symbol, then opposite of that 88985390851 B

I have it as well as the Painkiller and AOR reissues. Sin After Sin sounds very good. I only have an original CD to compare it to, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but it sounds very good to these ears. Problem is, it took me a few attempts to get even an acceptable pressing - the first few were loaded with non-fill and lots of noise at the start of side 2.

I think the reissues were discussed in this thread:

    Judas Priest re-issues?
