I just started this series and have only seen two episodes. I like it so far. Are there big story arcs that are developed in the show that last a full season or multiple season? Or is it more that each episode is a single story?

The first half of Season 1 is mostly self-contained episodes. It gets more serialized later. By the 3rd Season, it's pretty much completely serialized.

Season 2 has gotta be (IMO) one of the finest seasons of a drama ever.

The next season is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see Boyd's downfall.

I'm waiting for the inevitable Blu ray box set, after this final season happens, of course.

This series reminds me of The Rockford Files at times. Always great dialog, and each character has its own unique style. It never feels like everybody's lines are coming from the same writers.

It's a rare thing for a television series to create such dimensional qualities to even the minor characters.

So I changed my mind about waiting, anyway I'm on Season 2 now, and I got to ask...what makes a man so stupid, he either argues with, or doesn't believe Tim's an expert sniper ? :nyah:

2015, and still the only thing I turn the cable box on for. One hour a week. Looks like crap, but I get the point, and besides, I already know the Blu rays will look great, come December.
    Very high quality show.

Who's watching? This show does not get enough mention or credit. Three episodes into the final season and it's been great. In my top 5 series of all time. Love it.

So far this final season is really great, and I think that is precisely because they know it's the final season. This isn't the Sopranos or Mad Men (shows I like) where they are free to leave things open and more interested in "themes" or "art" or whatever- they know they will actually end the story.
The last couple of seasons had a few not-so-great B-stories that felt sometimes like they were a bit lost, but now it's like season 1 or 2 where things are really tight and focused.

Yeah, tight, focused and maybe a bit more serious. The show still has its humorous quips here and there, but the overall feel is bit more somber this season.

Excellent show - Did you notice Goggins was the tranny hooker on Sons Of Anarchy? It's very engaging for sure....the way these back woods fellas talk is just excellent.....I am merely a weather vane, I don't make the wind blow....fantastic!
