Yeah if you're burning out, it's probably good to put on the brakes before something goes wrong. I could think of a dozen or so times when I wished that had happened.

With only 12 shows left, that is odd.

Hahaha, thanks for that link...I'm just laughing at the first onslaught of comments (in the article linked). Oh man, people are harsh.

Banned in China tho, at 23; way to go Biebs!

It doesn't specify what the reasons are. It could be anything from logistical problems to an issue with a family member or friend, etc.

Better to pump the breaks now than have another dead artist thread up on the board tomorrow. Wish other bands and their management teams were more proactive with taking care of the well being of their performers. Too often the mantra seems to be get the cash while it is there to be got no matter what the human cost may be.

This. No matter what, this is a young mans life we are talking about. A real human life.

It's all the crazier when you realize that he never really chose this life. I mean, he's been doing this since he was very young. Too young to have a solid concept of what he was signing up for. And certainly his management has wrung far more out of him than should probably be considered acceptable.

It also has to be a hell of a burden having to play the role of a persona non grata. When he first came up, reactions were either young girls swooning, or vicious and wholly unwarranted hate. I think his management capitalized on that, and made him the villain. He does bad stuff, that we can point to and mock or ridicule or get angry about. It's bad enough that grown men also fill such a role, but he's been doing it since he was a kid. He's encouraged to do things that lead him to be vilified. Hopefully, one of two things will happen: he will turn away from his management and his whole persona, and rebrand himself with a focus on his talent. Or else, just wash his hands of all this craziness and live the good life. I'm not even gonna put any bad possibilities out there into the universe, but we've seen our fair share of folks burn out in some bad ways.

When he's not oversinging, or mumbling, he actually has a really good voice. Hope he manages to sort himself out. He's never been hotter and the pressure must be immense.

If it's any consolation to him, in another few years radio will deem him too old and stop playing his records and then his problems will be over.:D

I think he's been on tour for way too long. 18 months and counting. Too punishing. He needs a long break.

Amazing how people rush to crucify these people. Lame. Everybody needs time off sometimes and the fame game is an incredibly unhealthy place to be, mentally. Yet people are still desperate to be famous.
