Have I been imagining it for the last 22 years or does Yoko and John's Kiss Kiss Kiss sound like the theme music from the Munsters? Mind you I haven't seen the Munsters for about that long!
Somwhere between the Munsters theme and Steve Miller's subsequent "Abracadabra" lies "Kiss Kiss Kiss" Regards,
Maybe John & Yoko were working out a deal (Yoko was always trying new ways of raising capital/she did invest in cows) to do a revamped 'Munsters' theme for a revival series pilot (starring Ted Knight & Ruth Gordon) and the deal fell through (and the series due to a contractual dispute over catering) and they decided to use it as 'Kiss Kiss Kiss'?? John was watching a lot of TV in the 70's and 'The Munsters' was airing a lot on WPIX in those days... Todd
The Munsters really was revived in the late 80s, starring John Schuck and Lee Meriwether. Awful. The Comateens, an 80s New York underground group, recorded a groovy, rocking cover of the Munsters theme.
yoko's got a new exhibit, entitled "YES", opening @ SFMOMA this week. i think she'll be in town opening week to promote it. later, chris
