Yep, I had to follow up with a second email to get a response.

If you like the original albums and know them well, is the audio-only box worth getting (i.e., without visuals)? Is it different enough to be exciting?

The new versions are about as as different as "The Mix". If you like that one, you will probably like these new versions. Have you ever heard the "Minimum Maximum" live album. If yes, that would give you a good impression of the way this set will sound like.

So yes, I'd say it's different enough to be excing.

I didn't know the Minimum/Maximum live-album and was a bit apprehensive about the whole "3D Katalog"-remakes. But I was pleasantly suprised - some of the stuff is actually better than the original albums in my opinion!

Anyone knows why "Der Katalog" is gone?
Only find it at Kling Klang shop

I've received mine yesterday thanks to this thread where the email adres was mentioned.

The German versions are more limited I guess.

I pulled out my 8CD set this weekend and have been (re)listening it from beginning to end.

One thing that struck me is the distortion on Hall of Mirrors (Trans-Europe Express).

Is this intentional (the lyrics contain a line about a distorted picture) or a technical error? It certainly isn't there on my original Capitol CD...

The whole batch of the German version accidentally has the English version of Radioactivity. It is now unavailable except for Kling Klang, who will supply an extra German disc. The German box will not be re-pressed, from what I've heard.

Is this for CD, or Blu-Ray versions? Are the LP's affected as well?

For me, it was the cd version of Der Katalog.

From what I’ve read online, just the CD release was affected.

Does anyone know if you order a copy of Der Katalog on cd from Kling Klang presently, if it comes with the correct disc?

From reports I've read online, (I think even in this thread), they're now sending out the correct CD in a paper slipcase alongside the sealed box.

Correct, that's how I got mine.

Happy to report that I received my replacement German-language copy of Radioaktivität in the mail yesterday. It arrived in a small but brown envelope and the disc inside is in a generic paper sleeve.

Hopefully mine will turn up today or in the very near future. I'm not sure how I can focus on anything else :agree:

I can see why people are bugged by the wrong disc in the Katalog set, but isn't it only about a few lines in the title track? Or did I remember that wrong?
