It was a deliberately campy B-movie, and in the context of a campy B-movie, yes, Kurt Russell's character could get his ass kicked by three women, not to mention that he had been shot in the arm.

I like Escape From NY and The Thing. My favorite role with him, though, was as Herb Brooks in 'Miracle'. I loved that movie as a kid and the last time watching it I thought he did a great job portraying the prolific coach that led the US Olympic Hockey Team to one of the greatest victories in sports history.

He is underrated, I would love for him and John Carpenter to work together again. My favourite Kurt Russell films are:

    Escape from New York
    The Thing
    Big Trouble in Little China
    Breakdown
    Silkwood
    The Mean Season
    Backdraft
    Stargate

I loved him in Big Trouble in Little China, but, to me, he'll always be Dexter Riley.

I know Dexter was supposed to be a genius but how hard could it have been to outsmart the likes of Joe Flynn and Caesar Romero?!? o_O
