The perils of subscribing to a local stereo shop’s “record of the month” but also buying new releases as they come out: two of my last five purchases are Neil Young’s Hitchhiker. Also just received the White Stripes Live from Detroit box set, new LCD Soundsystem, and Neil Finn’s new one.

    • Elton John, "Tumbleweed Connection," which happens to be the 5.1 SACD (score!).
    • Greta Van Fleet, "From The Fires," which technically is an EP, but with 8 tracks it is practically an LP.
    • Steely Dan, "Aja."
    • Taj Mahal, "Taj Mahal."
    • Lou Reed, "The Blue Mask."
If Greta's "Fires" doesn't count, then the last LP in addition to these was the Moody Blues, "Days of Future Passed," 2CD/1DVD 50th anniversary package.

Two BGO three album sets from Firefall. The albums contained therein are:

    Debut
    Luna Sea
    Elan
    Undertow
    Clouds Across The Sun
    Break Of Dawn

What a fine band they are. Great songs (especially from Rick Roberts but Larry Burnett & Jock Bartley are no slouches either), and hugely imaginative arrangements.
