A used copy of Lightfoot by Gord Lightfoot, his first album. It was 1.99 and in VG+ condition. Such a great record, I've seen many unloved copies over the years, this one was treated well or virtually unplayed. Thanks who ever owned it previously.

Was just listening to Jazz Butcher's first LP - Bath of Bacon. Very nice 2017 reissue. I was asked to take it off. XTC - The glorious Apple Venus and the much less great Wasp Star. Also very nice reissues. They're as sonically fine as everyone suggests. Pat Metheny Charlie Hayden - Beyond Missouri Sky. A quiet and fine sounding reissue. Used Duncan Browne, his self titled second. A very rare record found by a dealer in the UK. A shame more people haven't heard it. Pristine used UK first of Bunnymen Ocean Rain to replace my not so perfect copy. I mostly wrote this post to let people know that somewhere in the world a Jazz Butcher record was being played. Until it wasn't.

Two charity shop finds on CD: One Second by Yello (which I loved as a teen and which features a soaring Shirley Bassey vocal on The Rhythm Divine) and 21st Century Man by Luke Haines (because it features a song called Peter Hammill. Sadly it is crap - the song structure is weak and the references to Hammill's lyrics are sensationalist and trite). £3.98
Just purchased The Kinks - Preservation Act 1 and Preservation Act 2 off Amazon. I also received The Mountain Goats - Tallahassee, Ass Ponys - Some Stupid With A Flare Gun, and The Monkees - Justus (the only Monkees albumI've never owned). All on CD, my physical medium of choice. Oh, yeah - I also bought my 18 yr old som the 2009 Beatles stereo box set. He's really into the Beatles so he'll love it.
Local Charity shop bargains.. Annie Lennox The Gift on Big Music from 1992 Recorded live at th Montreaux Jazz Festival Italian cd sounds ok and only £1, Chris Rea The Blue Jukebox Card case that folds out with booklet inside different cd packaging. Good only £2,so great finds today.
