Just bought a few Hackett recordings that were curiously missing from my collection: I think I own all of his recordings now whether they be studio or live albums. The only thing I’m missing and it’s impossible to find for a realistic price is the complete Live Archives box set, but, unfortunately, this was a Japan-only release.
Just bought the Manfred Mann’s Earth Band 40th Anniversary box set via their web store: I’ve loved what heard of this band many, many years ago, but for whatever reason, I didn’t buy any of their albums. Upon sampling a wide array of their music on YouTube, I decided to pull the trigger on this set. I had to stop listening as I found their music quite addicting and I want to keep my ears fresh.
I wasn’t going to buy this since I’m not a fan of Steve Winwood, but his contributions here are quite good I must say and throw in Di Meola and Schulze and I’m giggling with anticipation on hearing the entire album.
Isley Brothers Super Hits. $1.08 CD at Goodwill. Some more old school Rhythm & Blues. Doesn't have "This Old Heart of Mine" or "Shout" on it. Pretty good otherwise.
Circus Days pop psych obscurities 1966 - 1972. 6 CD boxset. Hit & miss, I'm sure, but it came in at €19.60 including p&p.
Thomas Dolby. The Golden Age of Wireless. Collectors Edition CD+DVD from 2009, really cool to get all the various tracks all on one cd, and dvd a bonus hadn't seen that since I had it on vhs years ago, great cd of a classic album from my youth. And only £5 secondhand, great.
Passage Ulrich Schnauss & Jonas Munk a wonderful cd,amazing sound powerful and bass and separation outstanding,so cool....
I haven’t hardly paid any attention to the American progressive rock scene, so I bought this as a result of curiosity:

Bought several CDs in Edinburgh last week while up there for the festival. From Fopp, the new Courtney Barnett album, the last QOTSA album for £5, and The Kinks' Muswell Hillbillies, also £5. From HMV, the latest Yo La Tengo and Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks albums, the Can Singles comp, and the John Grant Creepshow album (all in their 2-for-£15 offer), Joni's Don Juan's Reckless Daughter (£3.99 - never heard this, looking forward to it) and Feist's Pleasure (£5.99). Sad to see that Hog's Head Music on Clerk St has closed since last year, and the charity shops were a complete bust.
