The Book Of Eli - I let this one sit a long time because I had a feeling i wouldn't like it. I was wrong, I liked it a lot.

Really low budget (nothing wrong with that), and a depressing story IMHO.

Wikipedia describes it as a romantic comedy....nothing could be farther from the truth.

Didn't know until I pulled this picture from Amazon that Michelle Williams had been nominated for an Oscar here.
Her performance was OK but can't say it was Oscar worthy.

Not something I'd want to watch again.

One of best movies I've ever seen. The Criterion blu-ray transfer is amazing on this movie.

That was pretty much the review here. The writer loved the performances, but made it plain that this movie is not for most people and that odds are, you will really be depressed for several hours after seeing it.
    I decided to pass.

I'm glad I watched it...no critic is going to stray me away from any film...
I could only imagine how many good movies I would have missed.

The Next Three Days - Russell Crowe is great in this type of film. I enjoyed it, but I would call it good not great.

I watched Run Silent Run Deep on DVD. With Jack Warden and Don Rickles supporting Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster, this is a great cast.

It may be historically inaccurate, but I still think it's a fine film!

Last evening I watched Superman II, theatrical, on BD. I think this is the best looking of the 4 Reeves films.
