It seems that when you get rich and famous it's easy to start avoiding anything that is difficult or stressful. So what in your opinion is the laziest thing you've seen a rock star do? You can pick something On stage or Off stage.

To me I've never seen anything lazier than the whole Jimmy Page 'stamp' signature. Holding a live 'signing' and then stamping your signature instead of doing a quick scribble has to be the single most lazy thing I've seen anyone do let alone a rock star.

How about Jimmy Page not playing guitar publicly for almost the entire past decade?

Writing that ZOZO symbol over and over again can be hard work. I'd use a stamp too.

When the Beatles recorded "Strawberry Fields Forever", they did 2 versions: a faster one and a slower one, each in different keys. John couldn't decide which one he liked, preferring parts of one and parts of the other. So he told George Martin to edit them together. Of course, Martin told him that they couldn't do that because the two versions were in different keys. So John, being the lazy character, told Martin to "just figure it out" (or something like that).

Which to Martin's excellence, he did by speeding up one and slowing down the other, whereupon they miraculously fell into sync.

  12. Kevin Shields has to be included. I don't know about specific incidents, but one does hear tales about him lazing around the studio eating chips and watching old movies while waiting for inspiration to strike, as the clock ticks away and the bills rack up...

All that signing can get painful Shawn. Esp. if Arthritis is involved.

Remember Jerry signing all those $.10 checks, from the Japanese ?

What Jimmy Page is doing is avant-garde commentary on the commodity fetishism inherent in the concept of celebrity signatures, exploring the disconnect between the signer and the signature, as well as the lack of two-way emotional connection between the signer and signee. What an artist.

In that case, he kept George Martin from being lazy for about 7 years... ;)

I don't blame them. Having loads of money is the only way to escape in this world. If not, you are in the sharp claws of "humanity". :yikes:
