She's a Woman gone?! Oh, my! Yeah, one of the worst rhymes ever, but the upstroke guitar makes up for it!

DQ: Dwight Yoakam Things We Said Today

The best Beatles cover of all time is Yes's "Every Little Thing".

I voted off Tell Me Why and What You're Doing.

I hope you guys don't vote off IDWTSTP

  9. "I Don't Want To Spoil The Party" & " Baby's In Black" to try & save the great & apparently enormously underrated "What You're Doing"

    ?: Don't know of any

I find it distressing my two favorite songs here (Baby's In Black/Spoil Party) are way out in front. Thems my finalists!

Upsetting 'What You're Doing' looks to be heading out. One of my favorites from them.

How has "What You're Doing" survived this long?

IMO, it's the second worst Fabs song of '64 (behind only "Kansas City / Hey Hey Hey Hey") -- it's monotonous and it goes nowhere. :wtf:

[Edit. Just saw the post directly above mine ]

My Fave Fabs from '64 -- "If I Fell",... Top Ten of all Fabs songs, IMO.

Shocked that She's A Woman is out so early. And I'm Happy Just To Dance With You is out too? That's one of my favorites from 64

Where exactly does Baby's in Black go?

Also voted for Tell Me Why.

Can't think of any covers of '64 Beatles songs that I particularly enjoy.

Edit: I forgot about April Wine's "Tell Me Why"

I voted for "Tell Me Why" this round too.

"Baby's in Black" I would have probably voted on in Round Three... there's a few worse songs for me than that one.

But all of the following -- which are already gone -- I enjoy a lot:

    "Matchbox"
    "Honey Don't"
"Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby"
"Slow Down" --- and "Long Tall Sally" -- bloody fantastic, those two
    "When I Get Home"
    "Rock and Roll Music"
"I'm Happy Just to Dance with You"

All of those are waaaaay better, AFAIC, than "What You're Doing"

After looking at the current list, most bands would kill to have anything this good in their catalog. Shows you the quality of their output.
Some of these songs also have a country flavor to them (George was using his Gretsch Country Gentleman axe)
