Is there a correct way, I feel there is, Its just that people are lost in their own way, once you feel this is the way, there is no correct way, just my way.

It seems everything is now off topic, time to shut this down down.
Open new threads if you want to talk bout other topics or talk about wire an interconnects,
if you can hear any diffrencs.

The problem is that when you talk about other topics on a thread, only the people who are interested in the original topic can see them and provide comment, so that leaves many people out of the discussion. And by the way, spelling police, what is misspelled?

    audio is not THAT personal
again, Harman to the rescue!!! shows that even untrained listeners have surprinsgly similar taste then trained listeners. this myth of subjectivity is a myth more then anything

in audio, you can take measurements, look at THD, IMD, power compression, thermal compression, FR, directivity.

there is nothing wrong with tone controls as shown with evidence and data that actually suggest its usefulness

I hate it when the tone controls go hay-wire, particularly when it's a Mac as when the big knobs fall off they can knock over a drink. lol.

You know nobody is going to convince anyone to join the other side, it's like the wire thing over and over again, so it's time to end it and get on with listening to music.

Man you've never got RIPPED on a Saturday (or Friday) night and just kept wanting a little more--A LITTLE MORE! bass? Man if anything the bass knob is a very satisfying tool during a house party. At least mine:)
That right there is reason enough! Just ask my beer buddies.

    This thread is going nowhere.
Some people need tone controls and some don't. That's it!
Some people will endure whatever sound is delivered by the record producer - even if it hurts their ears.
Others will not put up with this - and make the necessary adjustments to suit their own ears.
(Guess which side of the fence I'm on. ;) )

You seem to be of the opinion that there is no longer for this thread to continue.

You may notice, that it does continue forward, none the less.

It appears that those who don't use tone controls, wish to end a thread, that members who feel positive about the use of tone controls, continue to post to.

IF you don't feel that this thread is of interest, why not go and read other threads?

It's hilarious that we respect their position; we don't care if they don't want to have/use them (which maybe so in the odd case) Difference is we pro-tone controls are not evangelical about it. I don't think there's just one way to listen to music, and one of those ways is their way. They think there's only one way, and the rest of us is wrong.

My bass guitar teacher once told me : ¨there is the standard way to play bass, which is the one I'm teaching you and there's every person's variations to play it, which are all fine as long as they don't damage your tendons.

I don't think this thread should end only because it irritates them, when there's clearly the option not to read it/post on it, and be done with it. And I certainly don't regard it as a competition to shove my point of view down their throat either.

Theres NO normal way, FLAT doesnt exist with audio, no speaker is good enough no matter how much you spend.

for some blue wallpaper is cool, for some its green, but when people start forcing their unique ways of thinking on others and then criticise them thats very sad, everyones unique, everyone is different.

People like this ought to work for the government.
