I have this twofer and its companion twofer plus a single by Colin Davis, all with the RCO on Philips ...
This was a recommendation when I asked about Haydn symphonies in this thread a few weeks ago. I found this twofer at a store in Amsterdam a week ago, sadly they didn't have vol. 2 so I think I'll order that one online someday.

Ironic that a guy called Pepper did the cover. It's looks to me to have got it's inspiration from the fab four's Yellow Submarine animated film....... Oh and yes, everyone, I'm STILL 100 pages behind on this thread ! I will catch up with y'all soon - just stop posting so often will you !!!!
(CD L'Oiseau-Lyre "Florilegium Series" German Press 414 330-2 OH) 1985 .... recorded August 1984 @ St. Barnabas Church, London .... Christopher Hogwood`s distintive view on the late Haydn symphonies never fails to impress ...
Beethoven, L von. Triple Concerto in C major op 56 Berlin P.O. cond Herbert von Karajan 1980/1985 DG 415 276-2 A combining of the lp (2531 262) that featured Mark Zeltser on piano, A-S Mutter on violin and Yo Yo Ma on violin and the Egmont,Coriolan and Fidelio overtures from 1970 and 1965 to cd, this is one set I'm familiar with.
Now playing BC Beethoven Variations box CD3. Firefox doesn't allow direct viewing of Google images now without visiting the source webpage? Anyone using an older version than 57 please check to see if it's a Firefox thing or a Google thing. Thanks. Now - subject to copyright under the pic and doesn't offer "view picture" button.
^^ I can see it with Firefox 58, but sometimes I can't see other posters' images, especially DeepFloyd11's, unless I use Chrome or Edge.
I "downgraded" to 57 but same difference. I think I was using V46 or so last week before the "upgrade" to bloated & slow V58. I never have problems with anyone's pictures in here. ...unless I look at over a year ago before Pbucket went greedy.
(LP EMI "His Masters Voice" German Press Quadro1 CO65-02 767 Q) 1976 .... Mstislaw Rostropovich and the Academy Of St. Martin-In-The-Fields merged in perfection ....
It's a Google thing, not Firefox. Google removed the "View Image" option from their search pages, which now makes you have to click into the web page where the image originates.
It's not a firefox issue. Google has changed the way the page works. Now, you have to click through to the source website. Or you can try right clicking and "view image in new tab" (at least on Chrome). That doesn't always work because you might get a thumbnail. But it usually works for me.
That makes me sad. It was such a good feature to have access without having to visit ad-laden webpages. I'm going to play Mozart Requiem in my car to grieve . Not kidding. Smirking at myself but not kidding. Song in my head right now: "Those were good times Damn good times Those were good times Damn good times" - DLR
(CD Deutsche Grammophon "Galleria" German Press 429 716-2) 1990 .... recorded November 1966 @ Jesus-Christus-Kirche Berlin .... Herbert von Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker definitely raise a ferocious Russian storm ....
